Flagler Memorial Bridge Replacement Project

Project Length: 0.66 miles

Project Limits: North Quadrille Blvd. / SR A1A, from North Olive Avenue in the City of West Palm Beach to Cocoanut Row in the Town of Palm Beach, including Flagler Drive between 5th Street and 7th Street.

Start Date: September 10, 2012

Estimated Completion Date: Late 2016

Contractor: PCL Civil Constructors, Inc.

Estimated Construction Cost: $97.6 million

Scope of Work:
The project includes replacing the existing Flagler Memorial Bridge with a new bascule (span) bridge connecting the Town of Palm Beach and the City of West Palm Beach, over Lake Worth Lagoon and the Intracoastal Waterway. The Flagler Drive overpass will be replaced with an “at-grade” intersection. New lighting, pedestrian features, traffic signals, drainage, and landscaping are also included.
