Scope of Work
The entire project will be completed in four segments to minimize affects to the public. This project will complete another section of the South Florida managed lanes network for all motorists and will improve mobility, relieve congestion, provide additional travel options and accommodate future growth in the area. Scope of work includes:
- Constructing Express Lanes in the existing I-75 median
- Constructing an entrance and exit ramps to the Express Lanes from the General Purpose Lanes
- Installing sound barrier walls along the corridor
- Constructing a direct connect bridge to the 595 Express Lanes
- Reconstructing the bridge and interchange at Miramar Parkway
- Constructing a new overpass bridge over I-75 at Pembroke Road
- Constructing direct connect bridges to the Express Lanes from Florida’s Turnpike (HEFT)
- Constructing the interchange Sheridan Street
- Adding a new drainage system with ponds
- Installing additional traffic cameras, dynamic message signs and toll gantries
- Adding signage, lighting and landscaping
