Scope of Work:
- Lane repurposing including one northbound lane elimination which was evaluated and approved by the City of Ft. Lauderdale.
- Mill and resurface to accommodate bike lanes.
- Construct two pedestrian midblock crossings with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB).
- Install pedestrian lighting.
- Construct a curbed median to introduce traffic calming and modify access to driveways along Cordova Road to enhance pedestrian safety.
- Intersection improvement at SE 15 Street.
Construction Impacts:
- All lane closures during non-peak hours will be accompanied with detours for traffic being impacted.
- Daytime non-peak hours: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
- Nighttime non-peak hours: 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM Sunday through Thursday.
- During the complete road closure of northbound Cordova Road, road users will be detoured via SE 10th Avenue.
- All work is to be done in phases to reduce impacts of construction to the community.
- Access to businesses and private properties will be maintained al all times during construction.
