Project Limits: State Road 700, from West Main Street to Hatton Highway in western Palm Beach County

Estimated Construction Cost: $10.8 million

Scope of Work:
This project consists of performing permanent repairs to sections of failed embankment damaged by Hurricane Irma along 3.4 noncontinuous miles of SR 700 adjacent to the L-10 Canal. Improvements include bank stabilization and guardrail updates along the shoulder in damaged areas. The purpose of this project is to stabilize the bank and provide roadway and canal protection during emergency releases from Lake Okeechobee.
