Project Purpose: The Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation (RRR) project will extend the service life of the pavement, enhance roadway safety, and improve operating characteristics of the corridor.

Start Date: Fall 2024

Estimated Construction Cost: $ 20 million
Scope of Work:
Repave and restripe the existing roadway within the project limits
Upgrade pedestrian curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
Upgrade signing and pavement markings
Upgrade lighting from east of Midway Road to east of Shinn Road
Improve drainage as needed
Installation of ground-in rumble strips
Modification at South Header Canal Road and Shinn Road to convert the intersection to a Restricted Crossing U-Turn (RCUT) Intersection
Addition of a new 6-foot concrete sidewalk from the Creekside Community to the Turnpike entrance at Kings Highway
Scope of Work:
Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community
Temporary lane closures will be required during construction
Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times
Changes to traffic patterns will be necessary during the construction of the RCUTs
