August 28 through September 4, 2015

Broward County — Construction and maintenance-related lane closures on state highways in Broward County are expected during this week. I-95 from the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County to Broward Boulevard in Broward

Restrictions:

  • Up to three northbound lanes of I-95 from the Golden Glades Interchange in
    Miami-Dade County, to Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County will be closed
    Sunday night through Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. At least two
    lanes will remain open at all times. Entrance and exit ramps will be closed as
    needed in the work zone between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Detours will be clearly
    marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in advance.

  • Up to three southbound lanes of I-95 from Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County
    to the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County will be closed Sunday
    night through Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. At least two lanes will
    remain open at all times. Entrance and exit ramps will be closed as needed in the
    work zone between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Detours will be clearly marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in advance.

  • Up to three northbound lanes of I-95 between Hollywood Boulevard and Stirling
    Road will be closed for paving from 11 p.m. Friday, August 28 to 1 p.m.
    Saturday, August 29. At least two lanes will remain open at all times.

  • The entrance to the southbound Express Lanes, located just south of Ives Dairy
    Road, will be closed Friday night, August 28 and Sunday night, August 30
    through Thursday night, September 3 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for plastic pole
    replacement. Drivers going south on I-95 who want to use the Express Lanes
    should enter south of the Golden Glades interchange at NW 151st Street.

  • The northbound Express Lanes from the Golden Glades flyover to just south of
    Hallandale Beach Boulevard will be closed Friday night, August 28 and Sunday
    night, August 30 through Thursday night, September 3 between 11 p.m. and 5
    a.m. for plastic pole replacement. Drivers going north in the Express Lanes from
    State Road 112 should exit at NW 151st Street.

I-75 from NW 170th Street in Miami-Dade County to I-595 in Broward County

Restrictions:

  • One lane of the I-75 southbound ramp to eastbound I-595 will be closed Monday
    through Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of I-75 from south of Sheridan Street to north of
    Griffin Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Sheridan Street at I-75 may be closed Monday
    through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

  • Two lanes in each direction of I-75 from south of Sheridan Street to north of
    Griffin Road may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 9
    p.m. and 6 a.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Sheridan Street at I-75 may be closed Monday night
    through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of
    Miramar Parkway will be closed Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 3
    p.m. for bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of
    Miramar Parkway will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 2
    p.m. and Monday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from north of Pines Boulevard to south of Pines
    Boulevard may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from south of Pines Boulevard to north of Pines
    Boulevard will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from north of Pines Boulevard to south of Pines
    Boulevard may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 7 p.m.
    and 7 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from north of Pines Boulevard to south of Pines
    Boulevard may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of
    Miramar Parkway will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between
    9 p.m. and 7 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of
    Miramar Parkway will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between
    7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One lane of the I-75 southbound exit ramp to Miramar Parkway West (Exit 7B)
    will be closed Monday night to Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One lane of the I-75 northbound exit ramp to Miramar Parkway West (Exit 7B)
    will be closed Monday night to Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One lane in each direction of Miramar Parkway at I-75 will be closed Monday
    night through Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from Miami Gardens Drive to Snake Creek Canal
    will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of Miami
    Gardens Drive will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 10
    p.m. and 6 a.m.

  • One lane of the ramp from southbound I-75 to southbound Florida’s Turnpike
    will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

I-95 Interchange from Hillsboro Boulevard to SW 10th Street

Restrictions:

  • Up to three southbound outside lanes of I-95 between Hillsboro Boulevard and
    SW 10th Street will be closed Sunday night through Friday morning, with the
    first lane closing at 9 p.m., the second lane closing at 10 p.m. and the third lane,
    if needed, closing at 12:30 a.m. until 5 a.m.

  • I-95 southbound exit ramp to SW 10th Street will be closed Sunday night through
    Friday morning between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via Hillsboro
    Boulevard.

  • Two westbound lanes of SW 10th Street between SW Natura Boulevard and SW
    12th Avenue will be closed Sunday night through Friday morning between 9 p.m.
    and 5 a.m.

Bridges of the Isles and Sunrise Key Bridges Replacement in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • One lane of the Fiesta Way Bridge, Nurmi Drive Bridge and Sunrise Key
    Boulevard Bridge is closed through fall 2015. Traffic signals and flaggers will
    assist motorists through the work zone.

  • The westbound right lane of Las Olas Boulevard between Royal Palm Drive and
    Isle of Venice Drive is closed Monday through Saturday through Friday, October
    30. All lanes will be open for the following special events: Labor Day weekend
    on Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7; Las Olas Art Fair on
    Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18; Fort Lauderdale International
    Boat Show on Thursday, November 5 through Monday, November 9, Winterfest
    Boat Parade on Saturday, December 12.

  • One lane of the Royal Palm Drive Bridge will be closed Monday through Friday
    between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. for utility work. Flaggers will assist motorists
    through the work zone during the closure.

CSX Bridge Replacement over the South Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • Outside shoulder of the westbound I-595 exit ramp to northbound I-95 is closed
    through October 2015.

Andrews Avenue Extension Reconstruction in Pompano Beach

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of Copans Road between NW 15th Avenue and the
    CSX Railway will be closed intermittently Monday through Thursday between 9
    a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Andrews Avenue between NW 18th Street and Park
    Central Boulevard will be closed Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and
    3:30 p.m.

Sunrise Boulevard Bridge over the Middle River

Restrictions:

  • The sidewalk along both sides of the Sunrise Boulevard Middle River Bridge
    between NE 20th Avenue and Middle River Drive is closed through fall 2015.
    Pedestrians can use the sidewalk along the north side of the temporary bridge.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from northbound Middle River Drive to westbound
    Sunrise Boulevard is closed through summer 2016.

  • One westbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard between Middle River Drive and NE
    20th Avenue is closed through summer 2016. Westbound traffic will travel in two
    lanes on the temporary bridge for the duration of the construction project.

  • Left turns from westbound Sunrise Boulevard to southbound NE 20th Avenue are
    permitted from the left westbound lane throughout the duration of construction.

  • One eastbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard between US 1 and Middle River Drive
    is closed through summer 2016. Eastbound traffic

State Road A1A Reconstruction from Sunrise Boulevard to NE 18th Street in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • A1A is restricted to one travel lane in each direction between Sunrise Boulevard
    and NE 18th Street.

    • Traffic is shifted to the outside lane in each direction between Sunrise
      Boulevard and NE 14th Court for construction of a raised median.

    • Both lanes of A1A between NE 14th Court and NE 18th Street are shifted
      west while crews work on the east side of the road.

  • Traffic in either direction of A1A between Sunrise Boulevard and NE 14th Court
    may be shifted intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
    Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures on A1A between NE 14th Street
    and NE 18 Street on Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. A flag
    crew will direct traffic.

  • One lane of A1A between Sunrise Boulevard and NE 14th Court will be closed
    Sunday night through Friday morning between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Flag crews will
    maintain one-way traffic.

  • Motor vehicles and bicycles are sharing the travel lanes through the project
    limits.

  • Public parking along A1A within the project limits is prohibited until late 2015.

  • The speed limit is reduced to 25 MPH through the project limits.

  • The sidewalk is open on one side or the other. Pedestrian crosswalks and beach
    access are available at NE 9th Street, Sunrise Boulevard, Birch State Park, NE
    14th Court and NE 18th Street.

Countywide Mast Arm Painting Project

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of A1A between Atlantic Boulevard and Oakland Park
    Boulevard will be closed intermittently Sunday night through Thursday night
    between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Powerline Road Improvements Project in Deerfield Beach

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of Powerline Road from north of West Drive to the
    Palm Beach County line will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m.
    and 5 p.m.

A1A from Seacrest Parkway to the County Line Improvements Project in Hallandale Beach and Hollywood

Restrictions:

  • Up to two lanes in each direction of A1A between Seacrest Parkway and the
    Miami-Dade County line will be closed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m.
    and 5 p.m.

  • Up to two lanes of A1A near the Hallandale Beach Boulevard intersection will be
    closed Sunday night through Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

  • Sidewalks on both sides of A1A will be closed intermittently Monday through
    Friday. Signs will be in place to direct pedestrians to sidewalk detours.

  • U-turns from A1A northbound at the intersections of La Mer Condominiums
    (1890 S. Ocean Drive) and Hemispheres Condominiums (1980 S. Ocean Drive)
    are restricted intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
    due to lane closures on A1A southbound.

SR 7 / US 441 Improvements from SW 25th Street to Fillmore Street in West Park, Miramar and Hollywood

Restrictions:

  • One of the two left turn lanes from northbound SR 7 to westbound Hollywood
    Boulevard is closed through October.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from southbound SR 7 to eastbound Hollywood
    Boulevard is closed through December.

  • One lane in each direction of Hollywood Boulevard between 61st Terrace and
    59th Avenue is closed through October.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from eastbound Hollywood Boulevard to
    northbound SR 7 is closed through October.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from westbound Hollywood Boulevard to
    southbound SR 7 is closed through October.

  • Eastbound traffic on Hollywood Boulevard at SR 7 is shifted north to the inside
    lanes and will remain in this configuration through August. Two lanes will be
    maintained in each direction. The left turn lane to northbound SR 7 / US 441 will
    not be affected. Motorists may turn right to southbound SR 7 / US 441 from the
    right lane.

  • Northbound traffic on SR 7 / US 441 from Washington Street to Hollywood
    Boulevard is shifted west and will remain in this configuration through October.
    Two lanes will be maintained in each direction on SR 7 / US 441 as well as one
    left turn lane and one right turn lane from SR 7 / US 441 to Hollywood
    Boulevard.

  • Right turn lane from northbound SR 7 to eastbound Hollywood Boulevard is
    closed through October. Right turns are permitted from the outside through lane.

  • Northbound traffic on SR 7/US 441 is shifted west to the inside lanes and remain
    in this configuration through late August. Two lanes will be maintained in each
    direction. The left turn lane from southbound SR 7/US 441 to eastbound
    Hollywood Boulevard will not be affected. Motorists may turn right from the
    outside through lane of southbound SR 7/US 441 onto westbound Hollywood
    Boulevard.

  • One lane in each direction of SR 7 / US 441 at the intersection of Hollywood
    Boulevard will be closed as needed through October.

  • One lane in each direction of Hollywood Boulevard at SR 7 / US 441 will be
    closed as needed through October.

  • Polk Street is closed at SR 7 / US 441 until 3 p.m. Friday, September 4. Motorists
    can detour via Fillmore Street to N 59th Avenue.

SR 7 / US 441 Improvements Project from Fillmore Street to south of Stirling Road in Hollywood

Restrictions:

  • The southbound right lane of SR 7 between Stirling Road and Fillmore Sreet will
    be closed Sunday night through Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

A1A Bridge Rehabilitation Project over the Hillsboro Inlet in Hillsboro Beach

Restrictions:

  • North Riverside Drive underneath the bridge is closed for the duration of
    construction.

  • The bridge is closed overnight to navigation between 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. for
    the duration of the project. Mariners may request an opening during this time by
    providing a four-hour advance notice to the bridge tender or by calling (954) 943-
    1847.

  • The vertical clearance of the bridge will be reduced by 2 feet for the duration of
    the project.

  • The north and south side channels will be closed to navigation for the duration of
    the project because of on-going work in the channels.

  • One lane of the bridge may be closed overnight between 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
    as needed. Flag crews will direct motorists across the bridge.

Andrews Avenue Reconstruction / Realignment Project in Pompano Beach

Restrictions:

  • Southbound Andrews Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Atlantic
    Boulevard and SW 1st Court through Friday, September 25. One lane in each
    direction of Andrews Avenue will be maintained within the east side of the road.
    The left turn lane from southbound Andrews Avenue to westbound Atlantic
    Boulevard will not be affected.

  • SW 2nd Street will be closed from SW 12th Avenue / Andrews Avenue to east of
    the railroad tracks through Friday, September 25. Motorists will be detoured to
    SW 13th Avenue and SW 3rd Street.

  • One westbound lane of SW 3rd Street / John Knox Boulevard at Andrews Avenue will be closed through Friday, September 25 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • One westbound lane of SW 3rd Street / John Knox Boulevard at Andrews Avenue
    will be closed overnight through Friday, September 25 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Broward County Mobility Project

Restrictions:

  • One eastbound lane of Sheridan Street between N 67th Avenue and N 70th
    Avenue in Hollywood will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and
    3:30 p.m.

University Drive from south of Nova Drive to south of westbound I-595 Entrance Ramp Improvements in Davie

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of University Drive between SW 23rd Street and Nova
    Drive will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Nova Drive at University Drive will be closed
    Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • Up to two lanes in each direction of University Drive at Nova Drive will be
    closed Sunday night through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Atlantic Boulevard at Florida’s Turnpike Northbound Exit Ramp in Pompano Beach and Coconut Creek

Restrictions:

  • One outside lane in each direction of Atlantic Boulevard at the northbound
    Turnpike exit ramp will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Broward Boulevard Park and Ride Access Road Improvements in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • All lanes are open through September 4.

Advanced Transportation Management System (ATMS) Installation on University Drive, Griffin Road and SR 7

Restrictions:

  • The outside lane of southbound University Drive at Miramar Parkway will be
    closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • The outside lane in each direction of University Drive at Pembroke Road will be
    closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • The outside lane of southbound University Drive from NW 3rd Street to Pines
    Boulevard will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • The outside lane of northbound University Drive at Johnson Street will be closed
    Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • The outside lane of westbound Johnson Street at University Drive will be closed

  • The outside lane of northbound SR 7 at I-595 will be closed Monday through
    Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • The outside lane of northbound SR 7 at Davie Road will be closed Monday
    through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

State Road 84 at Miami Road in Fort Lauderdale

  • Traffic on Miami Road north of State Road 84 will not have direct access to SR
    84 during the Phase 1 traffic shift. Signage will be in place advising motorists of
    the closure. Access to Federal Highway and SE 17th Street will be maintained for
    local traffic.

  • Trucks exiting Port Everglades will not have right-turn access to U.S. 1
    northbound. A detour has been set up for trucks to continue west on SR 84 to
    Andrews Avenue, north on Andrews Avenue to SE 17th Street and east on SE
    17th Street to U.S. 1 / Federal Highway.

U.S. 1 Improvements from Broward Boulevard to NE 17th Way in Fort Lauderdale

  • ·One northbound lane of US 1 between Broward Boulevard and NE 9th Street will
    be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • One southbound lane of U.S. 1 between NE 9th Street to Broward Boulevard will
    be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. and between 9 a.m.
    and 7 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of US 1 / Sunrise Boulevard from NE 9th Street to NE
    17th Way will be closed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

State Road A1A Improvements Project from Oakland Park Boulevard to Flamingo Road in Fort Lauderdale

  • Traffic in each direction of A1A between Oakland Park Boulevard and Flamingo
    Road may be stopped intermittently for about five minutes Monday through
    Thursday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. while crews clear landscaping in the
    median.

  • The left turn lane from southbound A1A to eastbound Oakland Park Boulevard
    will be closed Sunday night through Thursday night between 9:30 p.m. and 7:30
    a.m.

Signalization Improvements Project in Fort Lauderdale

  • One lane in each direction of Broward Boulevard and NW/SW 9th Avenue will
    be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Broward Boulevard Park and Ride Lot Improvements Project in Fort Lauderdale

  • The western portion of the parking lot north of Broward Boulevard will be closed
    Monday, August 31 through late September.

Sheridan Street Park and Ridge Lot Improvements Project in Hollywood

  • The northern portion of the parking lot will be closed Monday, August 31
    through mid-September.

  • One southbound lane of A1A between Sheridan Street and Hollywood Boulevard

  • Up to two lanes in each direction of State Road 7 / US 441 between Hollywood
    Boulevard and N 59th Terrace will be closed Sunday, August 16 through
    Thursday, September 3 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Traffic will be shifted to the
    auxiliary lane as needed.
