July 2 through 10, 2015

Broward County — Construction and maintenance-related lane closures on state highways in Broward County are expected during the week of July 2, 2015. I-95 from the Golden Glades in Miami-Dade County to Broward Boulevard in Broward

Restrictions:

  • Up to three northbound lanes of I-95 from the Golden Glades Interchange in
    Miami-Dade County, to Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County will be closed
    Sunday night through Wednesday night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. At least two
    lanes will remain open at all times. Entrance and exit ramps will be closed as
    needed in the work zone between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Detours will be clearly
    marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in advance.

  • Up to three southbound lanes of I-95 from Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County
    to the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County will be closed Sunday
    night through Wednesday night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. At least two lanes will
    remain open at all times. Entrance and exit ramps will be closed as needed in the
    work zone between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Detours will be clearly marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in advance.

  • The entrance to the southbound Express Lanes, located just south of Ives Dairy
    Road, will be closed as needed Sunday night through Wednesday night between
    11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for road work. Drivers going south on I-95 who want to use the
    Express Lanes should enter south of the Golden Glades interchange at NW 151st
    Street.

  • The northbound Express Lanes between SR 836 and Ives Dairy Road will be
    closed as needed Sunday night through Wednesday night between 11 p.m. and 5
    a.m. for roadwork. The entrance ramp from NW 10th Avenue to the northbound
    express lanes will also be closed. Drivers going north on I-95 should use the
    general use lanes.

I-75 from NW 170th Street in Miami-Dade County to I-595 in Broward County

Restrictions:

  • Two northbound lanes of I-75 west of Weston Road will be closed Monday and
    Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 south of Post Road Bridge will be closed Tuesday
    through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • Two northbound lanes of I-75 south of the Post Road Bridge will be closed
    Friday, July 10 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of I-75 from south of Sheridan Street to north of Griffin
    Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • Two lanes in each direction of I-75 from south of Sheridan Street to north of
    Griffin Road may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m.
    and 6 a.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Sheridan Street at I-75 may be closed Monday
    through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Sheridan Street at I-75 may be closed Monday night
    through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

  • One lane of the I-75 northbound entrance ramp from eastbound Sheridan Street
    will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • The I-75 northbound exit ramp to Sheridan Street West (Exit 11B) will be closed
    Sunday night through Tuesday night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists will be
    detoured to exit at Sheridan Street East (Exit 11A), continue east on Sheridan
    Street and make a U-turn at Flamingo Road to westbound Sheridan Street.

  • The I-75 southbound exit ramp to Sheridan Street East (Exit 11A) will be closed
    Wednesday night and Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists will
    be detoured to exit at Sheridan Street West (Exit 11B), continue west on Sheridan
    Street and make a U-turn at Dykes Road to eastbound Sheridan Street.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of Miramar
    Parkway will be closed Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of Miramar
    Parkway will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of Miramar
    Parkway will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from north of Pines Boulevard to south of Pines
    Boulevard may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from south of Pines Boulevard to north of Pines
    Boulevard will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from north of Pines Boulevard to south of Pines
    Boulevard may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 7 p.m.
    and 7 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from north of Pines Boulevard to south of Pines
    Boulevard may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 8 p.m.
    and 7 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of Miramar
    Parkway will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and
    7 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of Miramar
    Parkway will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and
    6 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One lane of the exit ramp from southbound I-75 to Miramar Parkway West (Exit
    7B) will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 6
    a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One lane of the exit ramp from northbound I-75 to Miramar Parkway West (Exit
    7B) will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 7
    a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One lane in each direction of Miramar Parkway at I-75 will be closed Monday
    night through Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from north of Florida’s Turnpike to Snake Creek
    Canal will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 6
    a.m.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to north of Florida’s
    Turnpike will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and
    6 a.m.

I-95 Interchange from Hillsboro Boulevard to SW 10th Street

Restrictions:

  • Up to three southbound outside lanes of I-95 between Hillsboro Boulevard and
    SW 10th Street may be closed Sunday through Friday, with the first lane closing at
    9 p.m., the second lane closing at 10 p.m. and the third lane, if needed, closing at
    12:30 a.m. until 5 a.m.

Bridges of the Isles and Sunrise Key Bridges Replacement in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • One lane of the Fiesta Way Bridge is closed through mid-2015. Traffic signals
    and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.

  • One lane of the Nurmi Drive Bridge is closed through mid-2015. Traffic signals
    and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.

  • One lane of the Sunrise Key Boulevard Bridge is closed through fall 2015.
    Traffic signals and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.
    The westbound right lane of Las Olas Boulevard between Royal Palm Drive and
    Isle of Venice Drive is closed Monday through Saturday through Friday, October
    30. All lanes will be open for the following special events: Independence Day on
    Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4; Las Olas Art Fair on Saturday, October 17
    and Sunday, October 18; Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on Thursday,
    November 5 through Monday, November 9, Winterfest Boat Parade on Saturday,
    December 12.

  • One lane of the Royal Palm Bridge will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for utility work. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone during the closure.

CSX Bridge Replacement over the South Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • Outside shoulder of the westbound I-595 exit ramp to northbound I-95 is closed through October 2015.

Andrews Avenue Extension Reconstruction in Pompano Beach

Restrictions:

  • All lanes will be open Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5.

  • One lane in each direction of Copans Road between NW 15th Avenue and the
    CSX Railway will be closed intermittently Monday, July 6 through Sunday, July
    12 between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Andrews Avenue between NW 18th Street and Park
    Central Boulevard will be closed Monday, July 6 through Sunday, July 12
    between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Sunrise Boulevard Bridge over the Middle River

Restrictions:

  • The sidewalk along both sides of the Sunrise Boulevard Middle River Bridge
    between NE 20th Avenue and Middle River Drive is closed through fall 2015.
    Pedestrians can use the sidewalk along the north side of the temporary bridge.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from northbound Middle River Drive to westbound
    Sunrise Boulevard is closed through early 2016.

  • One westbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard between Middle River Drive and NE
    20th Avenue is closed through early 2016. Westbound traffic will travel in two
    lanes on the temporary bridge for the duration of the construction project.

  • Left turns from westbound Sunrise Boulevard to southbound NE 20th Avenue are
    permitted from the left westbound lane throughout the duration of construction.

  • One eastbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard between US 1 and Middle River Drive
    is closed through early 2016. Eastbound traffic will travel in two lanes on the
    north side of the existing bridge through fall 2015.

A1A Reconstruction Project in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • A1A is restricted to one travel lane in each direction between Sunrise Boulevard
    and NE 18th Street.

    • Traffic is shifted to the outside lane in each direction between Sunrise Boulevard and NE 14th Court for construction of a raised median..

    • Both lanes of A1A between NE 16th Street and NE 18th Street are shifted east while crews work on the west side of the road.

  • One lane of A1A will be closed overnight between Sunrise Boulevard and NE
    14th Court on Mondays through Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly for
    median construction and roadway paving. Alternating one-way traffic will be
    maintained by flaggers. This overnight work will continue Mondays through
    Thursdays to late July.

  • One lane on A1A may be closed intermittently in either direction weekdays
    between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

  • Motor vehicles and bicycles are sharing the travel lanes through the project limits.

  • Public parking along A1A within the project limits is prohibited until late 2015.

  • The speed limit is reduced to 25 MPH through the project limits.

  • The sidewalk is open on one side or the other. Pedestrian crosswalks and beach
    access are available at NE 9th Street, Sunrise Boulevard, Birch State Park, NE 14th

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of A1A from Atlantic Boulevard to Oakland Park Boulevard will be closed intermittently Sunday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Drainage Improvements Project in Fort Lauderdale and Lauderhill

Restrictions:

  • All lanes are open through July 10.

Intersection Improvements at State Road A1A south of NE 7th Avenue in Pompano Beach

Restrictions:

  • All lanes are open through July 4.

Powerline Road Improvements Project in Deerfield Beach

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of Powerline Road from north of West Drive to the
    Palm Beach County line will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m.
    and 5 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Powerline Road from north of West Drive to the
    Palm Beach County line will be closed overnight Sunday through Friday between
    8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

A1A from Seacrest Parkway to the County Line Improvements Project in Hallandale Beach and Hollywood

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of A1A from Seacrest Parkway to the Miami-Dade County
    line will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • Up to two northbound lanes of A1A near the Hallandale Beach Boulevard
    intersection will be closed Sunday through Friday between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

  • Sidewalks on both sides of A1A will be closed intermittently Monday through
    Friday. Signs will be in place to direct pedestrians to sidewalk detours.

  • U-turns from A1A northbound at the intersections of La Mer Condominiums
    (1890 S. Ocean Drive) and Hemispheres Condominiums (1980 S. Ocean Drive)
    are restricted Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. due to lane
    closures on A1A southbound.

SR 7 / US 441 Improvements Project from SW 25th Street to Fillmore Street in West Park, Miramar and Hollywood

Restrictions:

  • One of the two left turn lanes from northbound SR 7 to westbound Hollywood
    Boulevard is closed through July.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from southbound SR 7 to eastbound Hollywood
    Boulevard is closed through July.

  • One lane in each direction of Hollywood Boulevard between 61st Terrace and 59th
    Avenue is closed through July.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from eastbound Hollywood Boulevard to
    northbound SR 7 is closed through July.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from westbound Hollywood Boulevard to
    southbound SR 7 is closed through July.

  • Eastbound traffic on Hollywood Boulevard at SR 7 is shifted north to the inside
    lanes and will remain in this configuration through July. Two lanes will be
    maintained in each direction. The left turn lane to northbound SR 7 / US 441 will
    not be affected. Motorists may turn right to southbound SR 7 / US 441 from the
    right lane.

  • Northbound traffic on SR 7 / US 441 from Washington Street to Hollywood
    Boulevard is shifted west and will remain in this configuration through July. Two
    lanes will be maintained in each direction on SR 7 / US 441 as well as one left
    turn lane and one right turn lane from SR 7 / US 441 to Hollywood Boulevard.

  • Right turn lane from northbound SR 7 to eastbound Hollywood Boulevard is
    closed through July. Right turns are permitted from the outside through lane.

  • Northbound traffic on SR 7/US 441 will be shifted west to the inside lanes Thursday night, July 9 at 9 p.m. and remain in this configuration through late August. Two lanes will be maintained in each direction. The left turn lane from southbound SR 7/US 441 to eastbound Hollywood Boulevard will not be affected. Motorists may turn right from the outside through lane of southbound SR 7/US 441 onto westbound Hollywood Boulevard.

SR 7 / US 441 Improvements Project from Fillmore Street to south of Stirling
Road in Hollywood

Restrictions:

  • The southbound right lane of SR 7 between Stirling Road and Fillmore Sreet will
    be closed overnight Sunday through Friday between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

A1A Bridge Rehabilitation Project over the Hillsboro Inlet in Hillsboro Beach

Restrictions:

  • North Riverside Drive underneath the bridge is closed for the duration of
    construction.

  • The bridge is closed overnight to navigation between 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
    through April 30. Mariners may request an opening during this time by
    providing a four-hour advance notice to the bridge tender or by calling (954)
    943-1847.

  • The vertical clearance of the bridge will be reduced by 2 feet for the duration of
    the project.

  • The north and south side channels will be closed to navigation for the duration of
    the project because of on-going work in the channels.

  • The bridge will be closed continuously to all vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians
    from Wednesday, June 17 to Friday, July 3. For marine traffic information, please
    refer to the Coast Guard’s Local Notice to Mariners for the Seventh District at

Andrews Avenue Reconstruction / Realignment Project in Pompano Beach

Restrictions:

  • Southbound Andrews Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Atlantic
    Boulevard and SW 1st County from Thursday, March 5 through Friday, July 3.
    One lane in each direction of Andrews Avenue will be maintained within the
    east side of the road. The left turn lane from southbound Andrews Avenue to
    westbound Atlantic Boulevard will not be affected.

  • SW 2nd Street will be closed from SW 12th Avenue / Andrews Avenue to east of
    the railroad tracks through Friday, July 31. Motorists will be detoured to SW 13th
    Avenue and SW 3rd Street.

  • One westbound lane of SW 3rd Street / John Knox Boulevard at Andrews Avenue
    will be closed Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • One westbound lane of SW 3rd Street / John Knox Boulevard at Andrews Avenue
    will be closed Sunday through Friday between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Broward County Mobility Project

Restrictions:

  • One eastbound lane of Sheridan Street from N 67th Avenue to N 69th Avenue in
    Hollywood will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

University Drive from south of Nova Drive to south of westbound I-595 Entrance Ramp Improvements in Davie

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of University Drive from SW 23rd Street to Nova
    Drive will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Nova Drive at University Drive will be closed
    Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Sunrise Boulevard at NW 24th Avenue Safety Improvements in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • All lanes are open through July 3.

Stirling Road at Oakwood Boulevard / SW 18th Avenue Intersection Improvements in Hollywood and Dania Beach

Restrictions:

  • All lanes are open through July 10.

Atlantic Boulevard at Florida’s Turnpike Northbound Exit Ramp in Pompano Beach and Coconut Creek

Restrictions:

  • One outside lane in each direction of Atlantic Boulevard at the northbound exit
    ramp will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Broward Boulevard Park and Ride Access Road Improvements in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • All lanes are open through July 10.

Advanced Transportation Management System (ATMS) Installation on University Drive, Griffin Road and SR 7

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction at the intersection of SR 7 and Stirling Road will be closed daily from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  • One lane in each direction of SR 7 from Stirling Road to Seminole Way will be closed daily from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  • One lane in each direction of SR 7 from Seminole Way to SW 54th Court will be closed daily from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  • One lane in each direction of SR 7 from SW 54th Court to SW 54th Street will beclosed daily from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday.

    The right lane of eastbound SW 21st Street at the intersection of SR 7 will be closed
    daily from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  • One lane in each direction of SR 7 from SW 21st Street to Davie Boulevard will be
    closed daily from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  • One lane in each direction at the intersection of SR 7 and Davie Boulevard will be

  • One lane in each direction of SR 7 from Davie Boulevard to SW 2nd Court will be

  • The right lane of southbound SR 7 at the intersection of Powells Road will be closed

  • Up to two lanes of southbound University Drive from Pines Blvd to Johnson Street
    will be closed daily from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through
    Friday.

  • Up to two lanes of northbound University Drive north Pembroke Road will be closed
    daily from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Up to two lanes of southbound University Drive south of French Drive will be closed
    daily from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Up to two lanes of southbound University Drive south of Griffin Road will be closed
    daily from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Up to two lanes of southbound University Drive south of SW 36th Street will be

State Road 84 at Miami Road in Fort Lauderdale

  • Construction begins Monday, July 6. Traffic will be shifted south Wednesday,
    July 8th at 9 a.m. and will remain in this configuration through August 31. The
    three outside lanes of westbound SR 84 from the Port Everglades entrance to
    Federal Highway will be closed continuously beginning July 8 to August 31. Two
    lanes will remain open: one through lane where right turns will also be permitted,
    and one dedicated left turn lane. Miami Road north of SR 84 will not have direct
    access to SR 84 during Phase 1 Traffic Shift. Signage will be in place advising
    motorists of closure. Access to Federal Highway and SE 17th Street will be
    maintained for local traffic.

· Two I-595 Express Lanes from Pine Island Road to Nob Hill Road will be closed
Wednesday night, July 8 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
· One westbound lane of I-595 from Pine Island Road to Nob Hill Road will be
closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and three westbound lanes will be closed
between midnight and 5 a.m. on Thursday night, July 9.
· One eastbound lane of State Road 84 between Hiatus Road and Bright Road will
be closed Monday, July 6 through Thursday, July 16 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
· Shoulders along eastbound State Road 84 between Hiatus Road and Bright Road
will be closed Monday, July 6 through Thursday, July 16 between 9 a.m. and 4
p.m.

Roadway Testing in Hollywood and Hallandale Beach
· I-95 southbound exit ramp to eastbound Hollywood Boulevard and the
northernmost left turn lane of eastbound Hollywood Boulevard just west of the I-
95 overpass will be closed Monday night and Tuesday night between 9 p.m. and 5
a.m.
· I-95 northbound exit ramp to westbound Hallandale Beach Boulevard and the
southernmost left turn lane of westbound Hallandale Beach Boulevard just east of
the I-95 overpass will be closed Wednesday night and Thursday night between 9
p.m. and 5 a.m.
