Broward County — Construction and maintenance-related lane closures on state highways in Broward County are expected during the week of April 17 through 24, 2015. I-95 from the Golden Glades in Miami-Dade County to Broward Boulevard in Broward

Restrictions:

  • Up to three northbound lanes of I-95, from the Golden Glades Interchange in
    Miami-Dade County to Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County, will be closed
    overnight Monday through Thursday between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. from 11 p.m.
    Friday, January 9 to noon Saturday, January 10. At least two lanes will remain
    open at all times. Entrance and exit ramps will be closed as needed in the work
    zone. Detours will be clearly marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in
    advance.

  • Up to three southbound lanes on I-95 from Sunrise Boulevard in Broward
    County to the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County will be closed
    Sunday night through Thursday night between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. and from 11 p.m.
    Friday to noon Saturday. At least two lanes will remain open at all times. Entrance
    and exit ramps will be closed as needed in the work zone. Detours will be clearly
    marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in advance.

  • The entrance to the southbound Express Lanes located just south of Miami
    Gardens Drive will be closed as needed Sunday night through Thursday night
    between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. for paving. Drivers should stay in the general
    purpose lanes or enter the southbound Express Lakes south of the Golden Glades Interchange.

  • The entrance ramp to southbound I-95 from Hollywood Boulevard will be closed
    and traffic will be detoured from 11 p.m. Sunday, April 19 to 5 a.m. Monday,
    April 20 for roadwork. Drivers who want to go south on I-95 from Hollywood
    Boulevard should go north on I-95 to Sheridan Street and west on Sheridan
    Street to the southbound I-95 entrance ramp.

  • The entrance ramp to northbound I-95 from Ives Dairy Road will be closed and
    traffic will be detoured from 11 p.m. Monday, April 20 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, April
    21 for paving. Drivers who want to go north on I-95 from Ives Dairy Road
    should go south on I-95 to Miami Gardens Drive and go east on Miami Gardens
    Drive to the I-95 northbound entrance ramp. The alternate night for this closure is Tuesday, April 21.

  • The entrance ramp to southbound I-95 from Stirling Road will be closed and
    traffic will be detoured Sunday night through Tuesday night between 11 p.m.
    and 5 a.m. for roadwork. Drivers who want to go south on I-95 from Stirling
    Road should go north on I-95 to Griffin Road and west on Griffin Road to the
    southbound I-95 entrance ramp.

  • The exit ramp from southbound I-95 to Stirling Road will be closed Sunday
    night through Tuesday night between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for roadwork. Drivers
    who want to exit southbound I-95 at Stirling Road should continue south to
    Sheridan Street, go east on Sheridan Street to the northbound I-95 entrance ramp
    and north on I-95 to exit at Stirling Road.

  • Up to two eastbound or westbound lanes on Hallandale Beach Boulevard at I-95 will be closed as needed Sunday night through Thursday night between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for bridge 2 of 19 work. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

  • Up to two eastbound or westbound lanes on Pembroke Road at I-95 will be closed as needed Sunday night through Thursday night between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for bridge work. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

I-75 from NW 170th Street in Miami-Dade County to I-595 in Broward County

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of I-75 from south of Sheridan Street to north of
    Griffin Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • Two lanes in each direction of I-75 from south of Sheridan Street to north of
    Griffin Road may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 7
    p.m. and 7 a.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Sheridan Street at I-75 may be closed Monday
    through Friday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

  • One westbound lane of Sheridan Street at I-75 may be closed Monday night
    through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

  • One lane in each direction of I-75 from South Post Road to Stirling Road will be
    closed Sunday night through Tuesday night between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to Miramar
    Parkway may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of I-75 from north of Miramar Parkway to Pines Boulevard
    may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for bridge
    construction.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from north of Pines Boulevard to north of Miramar
    Parkway may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • One southbound lane of I-75 from north of Miramar Parkway to Miramar
    Parkway may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for
    bridge construction.

  • Two northbound lanes of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to Miramar
    Parkway may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 10 p.m.
    and 6 a.m.

  • Two southbound lanes of I-75 from north of Miramar Parkway to Miramar
    Parkway may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m.
    and 6 a.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Miramar Parkway at I-75 will be closed Monday
    night through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for bridge construction.

  • One northbound lane of Florida’s Turnpike west of I-75 will be closed
    Wednesday night and Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Bridges of the Isles and Sunrise Key Bridges Replacement in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • One lane of the Fiesta Way Bridge is closed through mid-2015. Traffic signals
    and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.

  • One lane of the Nurmi Drive Bridge is closed through mid-2015. Traffic signals
    and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.

  • One lane of the Sunrise Key Boulevard Bridge is closed through fall 2015.
    Traffic signals and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.

  • The westbound right lane of Las Olas Boulevard from Nurmi Drive to Fiesta
    Way is closed through Monday, June 1. All lanes will be open for the following
    special events: Tortuga Music Festival on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April
    12.

  • Traffic on Las Olas Boulevard from Isle of Venice to Royal Palm Drive will be shifted and reduced to one lane in each direction Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for utility work. Flaggers will be at each end of the traffic shift and at cross streets to assist motorists through the work zone.

  • One lane of the Royal Palm Bridge will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for utility work. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone during the closure.

I-95 Bridge Painting and Rehabilitation over the South Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • All lanes are open through April 24.

Kingfisher Waterway Bridge Replacement in Lighthouse Point

Restrictions:

  • All lanes are open through April 24.

CSX Bridge Replacement over the South Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • Outside shoulder of the westbound I-595 exit ramp to northbound I-95 will be
    closed through October 2015.

Andrews Avenue Extension Reconstruction in Pompano Beach

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of Andrews Avenue from NW 18th Street to Park
    Central Boulevard will be closed intermittently Monday through Sunday between
    9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Copans Road from NW 15th Avenue to the CSX
    Railway will be closed intermittently Monday, March 30 through Sunday, April 5
    between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and Sunday night, March 29 through Thursday night,
    April 2 between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

  • One eastbound lane of Copans Road from NW 15th Avenue to the CSX Railway
    will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday night, April 17 to 5:30 a.m. Monday, April
    20.

Sunrise Boulevard Bridge over the Middle River

Restrictions:

  • The sidewalk along both sides of the Sunrise Boulevard Middle River Bridge
    from NE 20th Avenue to Middle River Drive is closed through summer 2015.
    Pedestrians can use the sidewalk along the north side of the temporary bridge.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from northbound Middle River Drive to westbound
    Sunrise Boulevard is closed through early 2016.

  • One westbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard from Middle River Drive to NE 20th
    Avenue is closed through early 2016. Two lanes are open for westbound traffic
    on the temporary bridge for the duration of the construction project.

  • Left turns from westbound Sunrise Boulevard to southbound NE 20th Avenue
    are permitted from the left westbound through lane through early 2015.

  • One eastbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard from US 1 to Middle River Drive is
    closed through early 2016. Two lanes are open for eastbound traffic on the north
    side of the existing bridge through spring 2015.

A1A Reconstruction Project in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • A1A is restricted to one travel lane in each direction between Sunrise Boulevard
    and NE 18th Street.
    • The outside lane in each direction is closed between Sunrise Boulevard and
      NE 14th Court. Northbound and southbound traffic is being maintained on
      the inside lanes.
    • Both lanes of A1A between NE 14th Court and NE 16th Street are shifted west while crews work on the east side of the road.
    • Both lanes of A1A between NE 16th Street and NE 18th Street are shifted east while crews work on the west side of the road.
  • Motor vehicles and bicycles are sharing the travel lanes through the project
    limits.
  • Public parking along A1A within the project limits is prohibited until late 2015.
  • The speed limit is reduced to 25 MPH through the project limits.
  • The sidewalk is open on one side or the other. Pedestrian crosswalks and beach
    access are available at NE 9th Street, Birch State Park, SE 14th Street, SE 16th
    Street and SE 18th Street.

SR 7 / US 441 at Griffin Road Intersections Improvements Projects Information in Hollywood and Dania Beach

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of SR 7 / US 441 at Seminole Way will be closed
    Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • One eastbound lane of Griffin Road from SW 33rd Avenue to SW 32nd Avenue
    will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of SR 7 / US 441 at Griffin Road will be closed
    Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.


Hillsboro Boulevard from west of Natura Boulevard to west of Dixie Highway in Deerfield Beach

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of Hillsboro Boulevard from west of Natura Boulevard to west of Dixie Highway will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.


Mast Arm Painting in Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of A1A from Atlantic Boulevard to Oakland Park
    Boulevard will be closed intermittently overnight Sunday through Friday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Drainage Improvements Project in Fort Lauderdale and Lauderhill

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of Commercial Boulevard from US 1 to Bayview
    Drive will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 5
    a.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Commercial Boulevard from US 1 to Bayview
    Drive will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3
    p.m.

  • One eastbound lane of Atlantic Boulevard from east of E. Hemingway Circle to
    west of Lyons Road will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3
    p.m. through late March.

  • One westbound lane of Commercial Boulevard from NE 15th Avenue to NE 17th
    Avenue will be closed beginning Monday, April 6 through late May.

  • Access between Commercial Boulevard and NE 15th Avenue will be restricted
    beginning Monday, April 6 through late May. Detour signage will be in place to
    direct motorists during the closure. Motorists on Commercial Boulevard will use NE
    18th Avenue and NE 51st Street to access NE 15th Avenue. Motorists on NE 15th
    Avenue will use NE 51st Street and NE 18th Avenue to access Commercial
    Boulevard.

Powerline Road Improvements Project in Deerfield Beach

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of Powerline Road from north of West Drive to the
    Palm Beach County line will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m.
    and 5 p.m.

  • U-turns from northbound Powerline Road at Hillsboro Boulevard are restricted through late May.

A1A from Seacrest Parkway to the County Line Improvements Project in Hallandale Beach and Hollywood

Restrictions:

  • Up to two lanes in each direction of A1A from Seacrest Parkway to the Miami-
    Dade County Line will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4
    p.m.

  • Up to two lanes in each direction of A1A from Seacrest Parkway to the Miami-
    Dade County line will be closed Sunday night to Thursday night between 8 p.m.
    and 5 a.m.

  • Sidewalks on both sides of A1A will be closed intermittently Monday through
    Friday. Signs will be in place to direct pedestrians to sidewalk detours.

  • U-turns from A1A northbound at the intersections of La Mer Condominiums
    (1890 S. Ocean Drive) and Hemispheres Condominiums (1980 S. Ocean Drive)
    are restricted Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. due to lane
    closures on A1A southbound.

SR 7 / US 441 Improvements Project from SW 25th Street to Fillmore Street in West Park, Miramar and Hollywood

Restrictions:

  • One of the two left turn lanes from northbound SR 7 to westbound Hollywood
    Boulevard is closed through early May.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from southbound SR 7 to eastbound Hollywood
    Boulevard is closed through early May.

  • One lane in each direction of Hollywood Boulevard from 61st Terrace to 59th
    Avenue is closed through early May.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from eastbound Hollywood Boulevard to
    northbound SR 7 is closed through early May.

  • One of the two left turn lanes from westbound Hollywood Boulevard to
    southbound SR 7 is closed through early May.

  • Eastbound traffic on Hollywood Boulevard at SR 7 is shifted north to the inside
    lanes and will remain in this configuration through early May. Two lanes will be
    maintained in each direction. The left turn lane to northbound SR 7 / US 441 will
    not be affected. Motorists may turn right to southbound SR 7 / US 441 from the
    right lane.

  • Northbound traffic on SR 7 / US 441 from Washington Street to Hollywood
    Boulevard will be shifted west on Monday, March 9 at 9 p.m. and remain in this
    configuration through May. Two lanes will be maintained in each direction on
    SR 7 / US 441 as well as one left turn lane and one right turn lane from SR 7 /
    US 441 to Hollywood Boulevard.

A1A Bridge Rehabilitation Project over the Hillsboro Inlet in Hillsboro Beach

Restrictions:

  • North Riverside Drive underneath the bridge is closed for the duration of
    construction.

  • The bridge is closed overnight to navigation between 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
    through April 30. Mariners may request an opening during this time by
    providing a four-hour advance notice to the bridge tender or by calling (954)
    943-1847.

  • The vertical clearance of the bridge will be reduced by 2 feet for the duration of
    the project.

  • The north and south side channels will be closed to navigation for the duration of
    the project because of on-going work in the channels.

  • One lane of the bridge will be closed Monday, March 9 through Thursday,
    March 12 between 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. A flag crew will direct traffic across
    the bridge.

Andrews Avenue Reconstruction / Realignment Project in Pompano Beach

Restrictions:

  • Southbound Andrews Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Atlantic
    Boulevard and SW 1st County from Thursday, March 5 through Friday, July 3.
    One lane in each direction of Andrews Avenue will be maintained within the
    east side of the road. The left turn lane from southbound Andrews Avenue to
    westbound Atlantic Boulevard will not be affected.

  • SW 2nd Street will be closed from SW 12th Avenue / Andrews Avenue to east of
    the railroad tracks from Thursday, March 5 through Friday, July 3. Motorists
    will be detoured to SW 14th Avenue and SW 3rd Street.

Broward County Mobility Project

Restrictions:

  • One eastbound lane of Sheridan Street from N 67th Avenue to N 69th Avenue in
    Hollywood will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

University Drive from south of Nova Drive to south of westbound I-595 Entrance Ramp Improvements in Davie

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of University Drive from SW 23rd Street to Nova
    Drive will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of University Drive from SW 23rd Street to Nova
    Drive will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 5
    a.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Nova Drive at University Drive will be closed
    Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • One lane in each direction of Nova Drive at University Drive will be closed
    Monday night through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Sunrise Boulevard at NW 24th Avenue Safety Improvements in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of Sunrise Boulevard east of NW 24th Avenue will be
    closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • One lane in each direction of Sunrise Boulevard east of NW 24th Avenue will be
    closed Thursday night, April 23 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Restrictions:

  • One lane in each direction of Stirling Road from I-95 to east of SW 18th Avenue

  • One eastbound lane of Stirling Road from I-95 to east of SW 18th Avenue will
    be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

  • Two westbound lanes of Stirling Road from east of SW 18th Avenue to I-95 will
    be closed for one night between Monday, April 13 and April 16 between 7 p.m.
    and 7 a.m. for overhead sign work.

Atlantic Boulevard at Florida’s Turnpike Northbound Exit Ramp in Pompano Beach and Coconut Creek

Restrictions:

  • The outside lane in each direction of Atlantic Boulevard at the exit ramp will be
    closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • The outside left and right turn lanes of the exit ramp from northbound Florida’s
    Turnpike to Atlantic Boulevard will be closed intermittently Monday through
    Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Only one lane of the exit ramp will be closed
    at a time.

Broward Boulevard Park and Ride Access Road Improvements in Fort Lauderdale

Restrictions:

  • All lanes are open through April 24.

I-95 Bridge Repairs at Powerline Road in Oakland Park
· Three northbound outside lanes of I-95 over Powerline Road will be closed
Sunday night through Tuesday night between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
· Three northbound inside lanes of I-95 over Powerline Road will be closed
Wednesday night and Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

I-595 Express Corridor
· One westbound lane of I-595 from Nob Hill Road to University Drive may be
closed intermittently between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and three westbound lanes may
be closed intermittently between midnight and 5 a.m. beginning Sunday, April
19 through Friday, April 24.
· One eastbound lane of I-595 from Pine Island Road to University Drive may be
closed intermittently between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. beginning Sunday, April 19
through Friday, April 24.
· One I-595 Express Lane from Nob Hill Road to University Drive may be closed
intermittently between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. and two Express Lanes may be closed
intermittently between midnight and 4 a.m. beginning Sunday, April 19 through
Friday, April 24.

Improvements Project in Fort Lauderdale
· One northbound lane of US 1 north of Sunrise Boulevard will be closed daily
between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Friday, July 31.

· The eastbound and westbound left lane in the 400 block of East Atlantic Avenue
