Current Construction Lane Closures in Southern Palm Beach County

I-95 Interchange at Spanish River Boulevard

Restrictions:

  • Mainline impacts: I-95 northbound and southbound, between Glades Road and Congress Avenue, may have up to three lanes closed, as needed, nightly, with the first lane closing at 9 p.m., and the second lane and third lanes, if needed, closing 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday night through Wednesday morning.

  • Ramp impacts: The new I-95 northbound exit ramp (Exit 48A) to Spanish River Boulevard is open to traffic. The new I-95 southbound entrance ramp from Spanish River Boulevard is open to traffic. The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Yamato Road will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday night through Wednesday morning. Traffic will be detoured via Congress Avenue. The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Yamato Road will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday night through Wednesday morning. Traffic will be detoured via I-95 and Congress Avenue. The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Yamato Road will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday night through Wednesday morning. Traffic will be detoured via Glades Road. The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from eastbound Yamato Road will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday night through Wednesday morning. Traffic will be detoured via Congress Avenue. The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from westbound Yamato Road will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday night through Wednesday morning. Traffic will be detoured via Congress Avenue. The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Congress Avenue will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday night through Wednesday morning. Traffic will be detoured via I-95, Congress Avenue and Linton Boulevard. Please Note: The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from eastbound and westbound Yamato Road will not be closed at the same time. The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Yamato Road and the I-95 northbound exit ramp to Congress Avenue will not be closed at the same time. Please see detour flyers attached.

  • Spanish River Boulevard impacts: Spanish River Boulevard, from Broken Sound Boulevard to Airport Road, will have one lane closed in each direction, daily, 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, and nightly, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday night through Wednesday morning, through November.

  • FAU Boulevard impacts: The northbound outside lane of FAU Boulevard, from south of PSI Drive to Spanish River Boulevard, will be closed, daily, 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, through November.

  • Yamato Road impacts: Yamato Road, from the southbound I-95 entrance ramp from eastbound Yamato Road, to the northbound I-95 exit ramp to eastbound Yamato Road, will have one lane closed in each direction, daily, 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., Sunday and Monday, and two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane closed, nightly, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday night through Wednesday morning. Yamato Road traffic is shifted to the outside to allow for median construction.

State Road 7 Improvements Project from the Broward/Palm Beach County Line to south of Glades Road

Restrictions:

One northbound lane of SR 7 from the Broward/Palm Beach County Line to south of Glades Road will be closed Monday and Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for concrete, drainage, and signalization improvements. One lane in each direction of State Road 7 from the Broward/Palm Beach County Line to south of Glades Road will be intermittently closed Monday and Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. while the contractor installs and adjusts vehicle detection cameras on mast arms at signalized intersections. One lane in each direction of Palmetto Park Road at State Road 7 will be intermittently closed Monday and Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. while the contractor installs and adjusts vehicle detection cameras on mast arms at the intersection. One lane in each direction of State Road 7 from the Broward/Palm Beach County Line to south of Glades Road will be intermittently closed Sunday through Tuesday evening between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for restriping the road to reduce lane widths from 12 feet to 11 feet. Lyons Road, just south of Glades Rd. from Norte Lago to Pine Springs Drive

Restrictions:

One lane of traffic is closed in each direction, around-the-clock, through December 2017. The left turn lane from eastbound Norte Lago at The Cypresses to access northbound Lyons Rd. is currently closed through April 2018. Motorists may turn right to access southbound Lyons Road, then U-turn just south at Boca Lago Boulevard to head northbound on Lyons Road.


State Road 7/US 441 just north of Clint Moore Road to just north of Atlantic Avenue

Restrictions:

One lane may be closed in each direction, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, through November 2017. Turn lanes and crossovers may also be closed intermittently for paving operations as needed. Please note, the outside (3rd) northbound lane, just north of Clint Moore Rd. that extends about 2000 feet to Bridge Brook Drive, is closed around the clock, leaving only two northbound lanes open when the contractor is not working.
