Current Construction Lane Closures in Southern Palm Beach County

I-95 Interchange from Hillsboro Boulevard to SW 10th Street

Restrictions:

The outside lanes of I-95 southbound, between Hillsboro Boulevard and SW 10th Street, will be closed, nightly, with the first lane closing at 9 p.m., the second lane closing 10 p.m. and the third lane, if needed, closing 12:30 a.m., until 5 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning, through July. Two lanes of westbound SW 10th Street will be closed, nightly, 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning, through June. The north sidewalk on SW 10th Street, between SW 12th Avenue and SW Natura Boulevard, is closed completely through July 2018 for construction activities. Pedestrians will be detoured to the south sidewalk; signage is in place to assist.


I-95 from south of SW 10th Street to south of Glades Road

Restrictions:

I-95 will have three lanes closed in each direction nightly, as needed, between Hillsboro Boulevard and Palmetto Park Road, with the first lane closing at 9:30 p.m., the second lane closing at 10:30 p.m., and the third lane closing at 11:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, through July. Camino Real between SW 15th Avenue and SW 19th Avenue will have one outside lane closed in each direction, beginning 5 a.m., Monday, July 16 through 6 p.m., Friday, August 10.


State Road 7 Improvements Project from the Broward/Palm Beach County Line to south of Glades Road

Restrictions:

One lane in each direction of State Road 7 from the Broward/Palm Beach County Line to south of Glades Road will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for concrete, drainage, and sod placement. One lane in each direction of State Road 7 at Boca Woods Lane will be closed Sunday through Thursday evenings between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. to activate the traffic signals. Palmetto Park Road, from State Road 7 to NW 2nd Avenue

Restrictions:

The outside eastbound lane, between State Road 7 and Boca Río Service Road, may be closed around-the-clock through mid-July for pathway removal and replacement. In conjunction with this closure, the eastbound pedestrian access from State Road 7 to east of Veteran’s Park (approximately a ½ mile), is closed through mid-July. Pedestrians may detour to the north side of Palmetto Park Road to access the pathway along the westbound lanes. Pedestrians heading eastbound along the detour route may then cross to the south side of the roadway at Veteran’s Park, and continue through Veterans Park’s outer pathway loop to go straight on the existing eastbound pathway. Lyons Road, just south of Glades Rd. from Norte Lago to Pine Springs Drive

Restrictions:

One inside lane of traffic is permanently closed in each direction, around-the-clock, through summer 2018. The left turn lane from eastbound Norte Lago at The Cypresses and the left turn lane from Pine Springs to access northbound Lyons Road, is currently closed through July. Motorists may turn right to access southbound Lyons Road, then U-turn just south at Boca Lago Boulevard to head northbound on Lyons Road. Glades Road, from State Road 7/US 441 to State Road 5/US 1

Restrictions:

Beginning Monday night, July 16, the Glades Road/State Road 7 intersection will be closed to through traffic, 10 p.m. until 7 a.m., through Friday morning, July 20, to install the new span wires and traffic signals, and remove the temporary signals. Motorists will be directed to take a right turn when traveling in either direction when approaching the intersection, U-turn at the nearest median opening, and then make another right turn to continue straight on either Glades Road or State Road 7. Police officers will be on-site to assist with the detours; please use caution and allow for extra travel time during these operations.
