Current Construction Lane Closures in Indian River County

State Road A1A Hurricane Matthew Restoration Project

Restrictions:

  • The speed limit from approximately 2.3 miles south of the Sebastian Inlet northerly 1 mile on State Road A1A has been temporarily reduced from 50 MPH to 40 MPH. This speed limit reduction will be in place through the end of the project.

  • The southbound lane of State Road A1A will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Aug. 2019 for clearing and grubbing, sidewalk work and seawall construction. Two-way traffic will be maintained by temporary traffic signals.

  • The sidewalk on the west side of State Road A1A is closed through summer 2020 to facilitate installation of the vinyl sheet pile wall. Pedestrians should use the temporary path installed on the east side of State Road A1A, crossing at the temporary crosswalks. U.S. 1 from 37th Street to 49th Street/Lindsey Street in Vero Beach

Restrictions:

  • One northbound lane of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Sept. 27 for utility work. For more information, please contact

Restrictions:

  • One westbound lane of State Road 60 will be closed Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for utility work. For more information, please contact Tex Hutto at 810-300-6098.
