Q: What is the I-95 Expansion Project?
A: The I-95 Expansion Project is the last of several projects designed to ease traffic flow and improve safety along I-95 in Palm Beach County. This project has two separate segments that include I-95 from just south of PGA Boulevard to Donald Ross Road and I-95 from Donald Ross Road to Indiantown Road / S.R. 706.  There were also two addition roadway improvement projects overseen by the same project team, which took place during the I-95 Expansion Projects.  Those projects are complete and included the Indiantown Road / S.R. 706 Improvement Project from the Florida's Turnpike to Chasewood Plaza, in Jupiter and the U.S. 1 Drainage Improvement Project at the intersection of U.S. 1 and S.R. A1A / PGA Boulevard (Jack Nicklaus Drive), in Palm Beach Gardens.

Q: What are the improvements being made on I-95?
A: The projects on I-95 from south of PGA Boulevard to south of Donald Ross Road and south of Donald Ross Road to Indiantown Road / S.R. 706 consist of widening I-95 to include one new High Occupancy Vehicle Lane (HOV) in each direction as well as milling and resurfacing existing travel lanes, drainage improvements, lighting, signage and landscaping.

Q: How long are these projects anticipated to last?
A: Work began summer 2008 and will last approximately four years on I-95.

Q: Will there be lane closures on this project?
A: In order to perform this work safely, it will be necessary to close travel lanes at various times and locations. Ramps to and from I-95 will also be closed at various times. Please note, however, that there will be at least one lane open along I-95 at all times. Electronic message boards will notify motorists of upcoming traffic shifts and lane closures. Weekly lane closure updates will be posted on the project Web site at www.pbfdot.com/95Expansion/closures.html.

Q: Will access to my business or home be blocked at any time?
A: Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained at all times. Should it become necessary to close an individual driveway to perform project-related work, the project team will coordinate with property owners in advance.

Q: Who do I contact during the construction of these projects if I have any questions?
