State Road (SR) 700 Hurricane Irma Repairs Project

Project Limits: State Road 700, from West Main Street to Hatton Highway in western Palm Beach County

Estimated Construction Cost: $8.2 million
Scope of Work: Project improvements include embankment repairs at SR 700 and the L-10 Canal, including bank stabilization and revetments, guardrail replacement, signing and pavement markings, and signalization replacement. Work will be done in three (3) phases with full closures expected during the summer months in 2021 and 2022. However, should these timeframes change due to unforeseen issues or inclement weather, additional notice will be provided in advance. Phase 1 Detour: Road closed from West Main St. to Muck City Road June 1, 2021—Sept. 30, 2021. Motorists may detour via SR 15, SR 80 and Hatton Highway. Phase 2 Detour: Road closed from Muck City Road to Hatton Highway June 1, 2022—Sept. 30, 2022. Motorists may detour via SR 15 and SR 80. Phase 3/Project Duration: Lane shifts and lane closures may be required. Emergency vehicles will be provided access to SR 700 at all times throughout this project.
