Scope of Work:
- Using technology, such as vehicle detection, to actively manage traffic and increase transportation system efficiency
- Fiber optic cable (approximately 7.3 miles)
- Bluetooth devices at intersection locations
- Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) cameras
- Traffic Signal System detection upgrades at existing signalized intersections to include pedestrian/bicycle detection
- Microwave Vehicle Detection System (MVDS) at mid-block locations
- Arterial Dynamic Messaging Signs (ADMS)
- Variable Speed Limit (VSL) Signs
Construction Impacts:
- Work will be done in phases to reduce the impacts on the community
- Temporary off-peak lane closures will be necessary
- Access to adjacent properties will be maintained at all times
