Scope of Work: FDOT is constructing this project in partnership with Broward County (Resolution No. 23-2271) and the City of Hollywood (Resolution No. R-2024-095). This project aims to enhance the safety, resiliency, and longevity of the infrastructure for our communities. The project improvements consist of installing four stormwater pump stations and drainage structures near the intersections of SR A1A/South Ocean Boulevard and Azalea Terrace, Van Buren Street, Sherman Street, and Franklin Street to enhance long-term infrastructure resilience; installing a seawall along SR A1A/South Ocean Boulevard from Sherman Street to SR 822/Sheridan Street and from Palm Street to Walnut Street to enhance long-term infrastructure resilience; and reconstructing sidewalks and the roadway affected by pump station and seawall installation.
