Scope of Work: Project improvements consist of widening SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard at the SR 9/I-95 Interchange overpass to accommodate dual right turn lanes onto northbound and southbound SR 9/I-95 to improve vehicular capacity and operations; widening the southbound SR 9/I-95 (Exit 29) off-ramp to accommodate triple left and triple right turn lanes onto SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard to improve vehicular capacity and operations; milling and resurfacing the existing roadway within the project limits to ensure long-term infrastructure resilience; installing new light poles with LED fixtures at the SR 9/I-95 Interchange to enhance nighttime visibility; installing Wrong-Way Driver detection systems on all ramps at the SR 9/I-95 Interchange to improve vehicular safety; upgrading existing signalization features to improve pushbutton accessibility and enhance pedestrian safety; adding a shared-use path on the SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard bridge over SR 9/I-95 to enhance pedestrian connectivity; and upgrading sidewalk curb ramps, pavement markings, and signage to enhance visibility and accessibility.
