1. State Road (SR) 9/I-95 from south of SR 820/Hollywood Boulevard in the City of Hollywood to the south of SR 842/Broward Boulevard in the City of Fort Lauderdale and SR 862/I-595 from SR 9/I-95 to SR 7/US 441 in the Town of Davie (95 Express Phase 3C)
Description: Work on this 9-mile 95 Express project includes extending the 699 existing Express Lanes north from just south of SR 820/Hollywood Boulevard to just south of SR 842/Broward Boulevard in Broward County. One lane will be added, and the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane will be converted to create two Express Lanes in each direction. The number of general-use lanes will remain the same. Other project improvements include the construction of I-95/I-595 Direct Connectors between SR 9/95 Express Lanes and SR 862/I-595, as well as reconstruction, milling, resurfacing, and widening of SR 862/I-595 from SR 7/US 441 to SR 9/I-95 and along SR 9/I-95 from south of SR 820/Hollywood Boulevard to south of SR 842/Broward Boulevard. Additional work includes bridge widening along SR 9/I-95 at several locations, painting of 17 bridges within project limits, SR 9/I-95/SR 84 interchange modifications, Integrated Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) installation, including cameras, detectors, and dynamic message signs to optimize traffic operations, tolling/gantry construction, ramp signalization implementation at the interchanges, lighting, signage and drainage installation and construction of shoulder-mounted sound walls and retaining walls. Traffic Patterns:
New Eastbound SR 84/Marina Mile Boulevard Traffic configuration: Eastbound SR 84/Marina Mile Boulevard is reconfigured to one lane just after the southbound SR 7/US 441 exit ramp (Exit 9B). Overhead signage is posted to guide motorists safely through the new configuration.
New Traffic Pattern Coming for Eastbound SR 862/I-595 and a New Exit Ramp to SR 84/Marina Mile (Exit 9C): Beginning the week of Aug. 11, a new traffic pattern will be implemented along eastbound SR 862/I-595 as part of ongoing roadway improvements designed to enhance safety and reduce weaving movements along SR 862/I-595.
Permanent Ramp Closure: Beginning at 11 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, the existing eastbound SR 862/I-595 exit ramp to SR 84/Marina Mile Boulevard (Exit 9C) will be permanently closed and removed. The new ramp will open on Aug. 12.
New Ramp Opening and New Ramp Configuration: Beginning at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, the new eastbound SR 862/I-595 exit ramp to SR 84/Marina Mile Boulevard (Exit 9C) will open approximately 500 feet west of the previous ramp. This new ramp will provide one-lane direct access to SR 84/Marina Mile Boulevard.
Eastbound SR 862/I-595 Managed Lanes Adjustment: Beginning at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, the egress from the SR 862/I-595 managed lanes will be reduced from two lanes to one before merging into the eastbound general-purpose lanes.
These improvements support future corridor enhancements, including a new eastbound SR 862/I-595 entrance ramp from SR 91/Florida’s Turnpike and new direct connector ramps linking SR 862/I-595 to the SR 9/I-95 managed lanes. Traffic Pattern for Westbound SR 862/I-595 to Florida’s Turnpike and SR 84 Ramp: The westbound SR 862/I-595 ramp to SR 91/Florida’s Turnpike and SR 84 (Exit 8) and the ramp to US 441/SR 7 (Exit 9A-B) are now permanently separated into two ramps. The newly constructed SR 862/I-595 westbound ramp to SR 91/Florida’s Turnpike and SR 84 (Exit 8) is located slightly west of the previous location and is open to drivers. Exit 9A-B continues to serve drivers traveling to US 441/SR 7. Signage is in place to assist motorists.
New SR 9/I-95 Northbound Managed Lane Traffic Pattern: The SR 9/I-95 northbound managed lanes were extended just north of SR 818/Griffin Road on Tuesday morning, July 15. Motorists must exit the managed lanes north of SR 820/Hollywood Boulevard to access SR 822/Sheridan Street, SR 848/Stirling Road, or SR 818/Griffin Road. Overhead signage has been updated to reflect the new exit pattern: Local Exits 21–29 & Sheridan St thru Griffin Rd.
Traffic Impacts:
Eastbound SR 862/I-595 Advanced Full Closure Notice: All lanes of eastbound SR 862/I-595 between SR 91/Florida’s Turnpike and SR 9/I-95 will be closed to traffic from 11 p.m. until 4 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, and Tuesday, Aug. 12, for overhead sign structure, panel installations and ramp alignment operations. The first lane will close at 10 p.m., the second lane will close at 10:30 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 4 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the SR 862/I-595 eastbound exit ramp (Exit 8 / 9A-B) to southbound SR 7/US 441, eastbound SR 818/Griffin Road, and northbound SR 9/I-95 to access the SR 862/I-595 eastbound entrance ramp.
Associated with this full closure, the following ramps will also be closed nightly from 11 p.m. until 4 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, and Tuesday, Aug. 12:

Westbound SR 862/I-595 and Perimeter Road Advanced Full Closure Notice: All lanes of westbound SR 862/I-595, from SR 5/US 1 to just east of SR 9/I-95, will be closed to traffic from 1 a.m. until 5 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 21 for overhead sign structure installation.
To ensure the safety of motorists and crews, the following ramp movements will also be closed to traffic from 1 a.m. until 5 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 21:
The westbound SR 862/I-595 entrance ramp from southbound SR 5/US 1 and Port Everglades Expressway/Eller Drive will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via southbound SR 5/US 1, westbound SR 818/Griffin Road, and northbound SR 9/I-95 to access westbound SR 862/I-595.
The SR 862/I-595 entrance ramp from Terminal Drive will be closed, restricting direct access from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to SR 862/I-595. Airport traffic will be detoured via the NE 7th Avenue exit, westbound NE 10th Street/SR 818/Griffin Road, and northbound SR 9/I-95 to reach the SR 862/I-595 westbound entrance ramp.
The SR 9/I-95 northbound and southbound entrance ramps from SR 862/I-595 will be closed, requiring motorists to use alternate routes.
As a part of the westbound SR 862/I-595 full closure, Perimeter Road between SW 9th Avenue and SW 4th Avenue will be closed to traffic from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21 for crane set up.
During the closure, westbound SW 34th Street traffic will be detoured via westbound SW 42nd Street, southbound Anglers Avenue, and eastbound SR 818/Griffin Road to access Perimeter Road. Eastbound Perimeter Road traffic will be detoured via southbound Perimeter Road, westbound SR 818/Griffin Road, northbound Anglers Avenue, and eastbound SW 42nd Avenue, to access SW 34th Street.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) will be on-site, and signage will be in place to guide motorists through the detour routes. Sunday, Aug. 24 will be reserved as a contingency night for all the above closures.

Traffic Impacts:
SR 9/I-95 in each direction, between SR 820/Hollywood Boulevard and SR 736/Davie Boulevard, may have up to four lanes closed, nightly as needed, 9 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for paving. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 9:30 p.m., and the third and fourth lanes will close at 10:30 p.m. All lanes will be open by 5:30 a.m.
SR 9/I-95 in each direction, from SR 820/Hollywood Boulevard to south of SR 736/Davie Boulevard, will have shoulder closures, daily and nightly, as needed, Sunday through Thursday.
The SR 9/I-95 northbound and southbound managed lanes and the inside general-purpose lane from Ives Dairy Road to SR 822/Sheridan Street may be closed nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for paving operations. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists and signage will be in place to assist motorists.
Ramp Impact:
The SR 9/I-95 northbound exit ramp to SR 84 will be closed to traffic nightly as needed from 10:30 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for drainage and punch list operations. Traffic will be detoured via SR 9/I-95 northbound to the SR 862/I-595 eastbound ramp and SR 5/US 1/North Federal Highway to SR 84. Signage will be placed to direct motorists.
The SR 9/I-95 northbound to the SR 862/I-595 westbound ramp will be closed to traffic nightly, as needed, 10:30 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for lighting and punch list operations. Traffic will be detoured via SR 818/Griffin Road, and SR 7/ US 441 to the SR 862/I-595 westbound entrance ramp. Signage will be in place to assist motorists.
The SR 9/I-95 northbound exit ramp to SR 848/Stirling Road will be closed to traffic nightly, as needed, from 10:30 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for ITS, paving, and punch list operations. Traffic will be detoured via SR 818/Griffin Road, SR 5/US 1, and SR 848/Stirling Road. Signage will be in place to assist motorists.

The SR 9/I-95 southbound entrance ramp from SR 848/Stirling Road will be closed to traffic nightly, as needed, 10:30 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for ITS, paving, and punch list operations. Traffic will be detoured via SR 7/US 441 southbound, and eastbound SR 822/Sheridan Street to SR 9/I-95 southbound. Signage will be in place to assist motorists.
The SR 9/I-95 southbound exit ramp to SR 822/Sheridan Street will be closed to traffic nightly as needed from 10:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. for ITS, paving, and punch list operations. Traffic will be detoured via southbound SR 9/I-95, SR 820/Hollywood Boulevard and N Park Road to SR 822/Sheridan Street. Signage will be in place to assist motorists.
The SR 9/I-95 northbound entrance ramp from SR 862/I-595 westbound may have one lane closed nightly as needed, 9:30 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
The SR 9/I-95 southbound entrance ramp from SR 862/I-595 westbound may have one lane closed nightly as needed, 9:30 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.

The SR 9/I-95 northbound and southbound entrance ramps from SR 848/Stirling Road may have one lane closed intermittently, nightly as needed, 9 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, for ITS and drilled shaft operations.
Please note that ramp closures will be performed as needed per nighttime construction operations; consecutive ramps will not be closed at the same time.
Traffic Impacts:
SR 862/I-595 in each direction, from east of SR 7/US 441 to Anglers Avenue, may have up to four lanes closed nightly as needed, 9 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 9:30 p.m., and the third and fourth lane will close at 10:30 p.m. All lanes will be open by 5:30 a.m.
I-595 in each direction, from SR 7/US 441 to SR 9/I-95, will have shoulder closures, daily and nightly as needed, Sunday through Thursday.
Eastbound SR 862/I-595 between SR 7/US 441 and SR 9/I-95 will be shifted into final configuration the night of Wednesday, August 13. been shifted to the inside lanes to allow for widening and bridge construction operations. This pattern is anticipated to be in place through Spring 2025.

Traffic wishing to access southbound US 441/SR 7 will be detoured via eastbound SR 862/I-595, northbound US 441/SR 7 to U-turn at the US 441/SR 7 and Riverland Road intersection to access southbound US 441/SR 7. Traffic wishing to access eastbound SR 84 will be detoured via northbound US 441/SR 7, eastbound Davie Boulevard, southbound SR 9/I-95, and eastbound SR 82/I-595 to access SR 84. The SR 84 eastbound and westbound ramp to SR 9/I-95 southbound will be closed to traffic nightly, as needed, from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday for slope pavement, ITS and punch list operations. Traffic will be detoured via SR 84 westbound, SW 30th Avenue, and SR 818/Griffin Road to the SR 9/I-95 southbound entrance ramp. FHP will be onsite and signage will be in place to assist motorists.
Traffic Impacts:
· Anglers Avenue, from SW 36th Street to south of SW 31st Street, will be closed to motorists through Summer 2025 for bridge construction operations. Traffic will be detoured via SW 31st Street, SW 26th Terrace, and SW 36th Street.
· SW 30th Avenue in each direction, at the SR 862/I-595 overpass, will be closed to traffic overnight, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for bridge painting and painting operations. Motorists will be detoured via SW 26th Terrace, and eastbound SR 84 to the U-turn movement underneath the SR 84 bridge. Signage will be in place to assist motorists.
· SR 820/Hollywood Boulevard at SR 9/I-95 may have the shoulder closed in each direction daily as needed for directional bore operations.
· SR 818/Griffin Road, from Old Griffin Road and Anglers Avenue, may have up to two lanes closed in each direction nightly, 8:30 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
· SR 848/Stirling Road, from Anglers Avenue and SW 18th Street, may have up to two lanes closed in each direction nightly from 8:30 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
2. dvanced Wrong-Way Driving Safety Improvements Project in Broward County
Description: Project improvements include installing flashing beacons, wrong-way signage, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices at 23 exit ramps to enhance safety by detecting wrong-way drivers and preventing serious injury crashes on the State Highway System; integrating the wrong-way driving detecting system/ITS with the Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) to aid in alerting motorists and notifying law enforcement; and upgrading wrong-way signage and pavement markings to preserve the service life of the road and enhance visibility. 3. tate Road (SR) 93/I-75/Alligator Alley Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR) Proje
Description: Project improvements include milling and resurfacing the roadway within the project limits to ensure long-term resilience; installing guardrail within the project limits to ensure safety; and upgrading signing and pavement markings within the project limits to enhance nighttime visibility. Northbound SR 9/I-95 Full Closure: All lanes of northbound SR 9/I-95 at SR 838/West Sunrise Boulevard (Exit 29B) will be closed to traffic nightly, Sunday through Thursday, from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, Aug. 3 through Thursday Aug. 14. This closure is necessary to allow crews to safely begin bridge deck saw cutting and removal operations.
During the full closure, northbound SR 9/I-95 traffic will be detoured via the exit ramp to eastbound SR 838/East Sunrise Boulevard (Exit 29A), northbound SR 845/Powerline Road/NW 9th Avenue, and westbound SR 816/Oakland Park Boulevard to access the SR 9/I-95 northbound entrance ramp. To ensure motorists and crew safety, the ingress to the SR 9/I-95 northbound managed lanes at SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard will be closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Motorists may enter the managed lanes at the SR 816/Oakland Park Boulevard ingress. 1. State Road (SR) 84/I-595 Corridor Resurfacing Project
Description: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin the I-595 Corridor Resurfacing Project in mid-June 2025. This major infrastructure effort includes repaving and restriping I-595 and State Road 84 from I-75 to I-95, covering the Express Lanes, General Purpose Lanes, and adjacent segments of State Road 84. The project is designed to extend the service life of the pavement and improve safety for all roadway users. Construction will be performed in phases to minimize disruptions and will occur at night to reduce impacts to daytime traffic. Access to properties along the corridor will be maintained throughout the duration of the work. This single lane closure is necessary to safely accommodate the work zone for drainage installation and roadway improvements.
