Public information meeting: The public information meeting will be offered in two different formats: virtual and in-person. The virtual public information meeting will take place on, Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. The in-person public information meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The in-person public information meeting will be held at the Beach Branch Library located at 3250 NE 2 Street, Pompano Beach, Florida 33062. The latest social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Estimated Construction Cost: $4.5 Million
Scope of Work:
- Repave the existing travel lanes.
- Install new signing and pavement markings.
- Reduce width of the existing travel lanes to create space for bicycle lanes.
- Replace and upgrade existing curb ramps to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
- Upgrade existing bridge railing at bridge #860222 over Cypress Creek Canal.
- Upgrade pedestrian push button countdown detectors at signalized intersections.
- Upgrade lighting to better illuminate pedestrian crosswalks at signalized intersections.
Project Benefits:
- Increase the life span of the pavement.
- Provision of bicycle lanes.
- Provision of an ADA compliant corridor.
- Enhance safety.
Construction Impacts:
- All work will be done in phases to reduce the impact of construction to the community.
- Temporary lane closures during non-peak hours will occur.
- There will be no complete road closures.
- Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times.
